Rating of NZF Money Limited
On 24 February 2010, NZF Money Limited received a NZ Dollar long term issuer rating of B (Outlook Negative)
from Standard & Poor’s.
This type of rating expresses an opinion about the overall financial capacity of an issuer of securities to
meet its financial obligations.
Explanation of Rating in terms of Standard & Poor’s rating criteria
This rating means that, in terms of Standard & Poor’s rating criteria, NZF Money Limited is currently
considered by the rating agency to have significant speculative characteristics and some vulnerability.
However, it currently has the capacity to meet its financial commitments. The rating agency considers that
adverse business, financial or economic conditions will likely impair the issuer’s capacity or willingness to
meet its financial commitments.
Investors should be aware that the rating is Standard & Poor’s view of NZF Money Limited’s creditworthiness
following its review. It is not necessarily determinative of whether or not NZF Money Limited will repay
deposits and pay interest to investors. NZF Money Limited has met its payment obligations to investors since
it first offered secured deposits in late 1999.
About Standard & Poor’s rating
The rating was issued following a review by Standard & Poor’s of the Company’s business, its lending files
and its management. Further information on Standard & Poor’s, its ratings, processes and criteria is available
from its website at www.standardandpoors.com.
