NZF is different to most other finance companies in the New Zealand market and this will become more evident over the next 12 months. NZF has been a product manufacturer for some time. It has distributed its lending products through its own mortgage brokerage operations and independent brokers throughout the New Zealand market. These differences will widen further as NZF produces additional deposit and transactional products later in 2008. The change from ‘New Zealand Finance’ across the group to NZF is an evolutionary change in name. The brand change (including new colours, logos and graphics) will be progressively rolled out through the group during 2008. This brand change does not include the Mike Pero Mortgages and Finance Direct brands within the group.

A great deal of thinking and work has gone into planning the brand change. It will be supported by a change in distribution model, technology platform and the release of new products and services later in 2008. The NZF vision is to be ‘The first choice in banking for hard-working Kiwis’. A key facet of the vision is to provide the personal service that the ‘old-fashioned branch manager’ used to provide.
